Just made this and it's SOOO good; I added the following recipe to a bag of fresh spinach salad....to the spinach I just added some salt and pepper....then cooked the salmon and cut it up and mixed it in: I only used one small piece of fish though....for one....so had plenty of the marinade to use as a salad dressing; so use the ingredients according to how many you plan on serving. ENJOY!

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • 1 1/4 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  1. In a medium glass bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, and white wine. Stir until brown sugar has dissolved. Reserve a small amount to use as a basting sauce; the remainder is used as a marinade.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour in marinade, seal, and turn to coat salmon. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, turning once.
  3. Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
  4. Lightly oil grill grate. Place salmon on grill, and discard marinade. Cook salmon for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until easily flaked with a fork. Baste with reserved sauce while grilling. ******

******You can also bake the salmon if your grill is broken like mine

Nat, this sounds awesome. I don't always like some of the maranades for salmon but this one sounds really good. My son and I are the only one's who like salmon and he loves to grill. I get an invite for dinner everytime he has salmon. He will get a copy of this for sure. Thanks!

Seriously...I have been eating this several times a week now that Jake is gone for the summer. This marinade is so easy and tasty and can be used probably on ANYTHING...fish, chicken, shrimp, beef. I just added the spinach to be healthy. It goes well with my low carb diet....I eat this kind of thing all week and then on the weekends whatever I want...even bad stuff like pizza, fast food, etc. And I don't have to worry about my weight because of it. If you are trying to lose some pounds....make this. I promise...the weight will melt away.
