Just got back!!! That movie is AWESOME!!  I am a huge Stephen King fan, but seriously that had to have been the best movie I have seen in a while!  I don't know if I would call it more of a suspence movie than a horror, but if you know Stephen King books then you know what I mean....  I think there were only about 2 parts that I jumped at, but I think my neck and back are stiff from every muscle being so tight... I mean the whole movie is like .  I would definitely say it was worth the outrageous cost for a ticket!  In fact when it comes out on dvd I will buy it!

I mean, I usually read his books before I watch his movies, and then I usually think the movies are kind of blah... but I think if you read this book first and then see it, I think it would be SO good.... Just the special effects alone were great!  Now I have to read this book   I honestly want to see it again.... I could watch it again tonight it was that good, me and my sister can't stop talking about it!  It was one of those smart movies that has twists that you don't see coming...  I don't want to give anything away though!  I just really loved the movie   And its so refreshing to see a scary movie that actually scared me, and had me in suspence without the stupid cliche of things jumping out at you all the time.  That seems to be the only thing that scary movies nowaday can come up with to be scary....  That's why Stephen King is the master of suspence and horror!

The only problem I had was I think the theatre had the volume to loud, I know I haven't been to a theatre in a while, but do they really need to blast it?  I mean there was one part where a baby was crying and my ears actually hurt and it was very distracting!  That was the only part though, the rest of the movie the sound didn't bother me...

Go see it!!  Or if you rather wait for it to come out on dvd make sure you watch it with no distractions... unplug the phone, turn off all the lights, take the dog out first, and get comfy because once you start this movie you can't take your eyes off the screen!!

I saw it at the theater Friday night and you wont be missing anything seeing it at home. It attracts all the kids and that kinda ruins it sometimes ya know. I was hoping it was gonna be scarier, I like ghost movies like The Others and 6th Sense. It wasn't quite like those.

I'm one of the legions of S.K.'s constant readers, I rarely like any of the films/tv shows, etc. made based on his stories (exceptions: The Green Mile, Stand By Me & The Shawshank Redemption), but of course I HAD to go see 1408. My opinion: just O.K. Kinda scary, good acting, but the stories always lose so much in translation to the screen. I wish I'd waited for the DVD.....

I saw it last week. I thought it was pretty good except for some reason the ending kind of ruined it. I cant explain why i just thought it did. It was rreally scary though!

Still waiting to get the book. SK sometimes does endings that don't make sense! It's like  he writes this whole story, then wraps it up in half a page! He's still my favorite!
