I apologize to our male members. I know you guys hate this kind of stuff. I just can't stand it! Every month it feels as though it is so much worse. I have alot of anxiety attacks anyway but during PMS they are through the roof. Plus I am a class A b!tch. I scream at everyone. I hate it. I don't want to be like this. It usually last 2-3 days but it feels like an eternity. Anyone else go through this?

wow Im not the only one?  All my friends think I am a BI**h, My daughters understand they dont come near me.  Hubby wants to make everything good all the time grrrrrrrr  I dont want to be bothered when I feel like this, I want to be left alone.  He just doesnt understand.

I only yell at my loved ones

I cry for no reason, and that sucks.  I talked to my GYN and she put me on Welbutrin (antidepressant), its not addicting can stop it whenever you want no side affects.  It has took the edge off, but didnt get rid of it completely which I knew it wouldnt.  But it makes things bareable, mine lasts 4-7 days.

I have alot of scar tissue (3 c-sections)  So I also get the cramps that are sooooo bad I want to scream.  Every kind of pain pill the doctor gives me makes me go nuts, doesnt take away the pain.  I dont want to go under the knife to take it out, it will only grow back.  So I suffer

So Amy your not alone!!!  I think there are alot of women out there that go through this.

I have 3 daughters 26, 20, 18 their GYN put them on birthcontrol because of their PMS.  They are not as bad as me Thank God.  18 yr old has a cyst that burst last christmas so that is her main reason for being on birth control.  And it seems to be helping them.

Talk to your GYN their might be something out there to help you, wont take it away completely.  But might take the edge off.

Amy, talk to your Dr. and ask about Zoloft. It has helped me tremendously! Good luck. I know how you feel.

2-3 days? For real? Is that the normal amount of time to be a crazy b!tch, because I've gotta be honest here...I MIGHT have a good week and a 1/2 a month. Two weeks of feeling OK on an absolutely fantastic month. I'm crazy for about week and a 1/2 before, during (5-6 days), and often for a few days after.

And I know what you mean that you don't WANT to be like that. I'm just awful and about 3 days into it, I can't even stand to be around myself. I can't imgaine how Jason and Susanna feel. Jason always knows when I'm about to start because I'm so...horrible. And the worst thing about it is...I can't stop myself. Its like word vomit.

I think a lot of it *might* be anxiety related for me, though. I know its coming and I start stressing about how painful this cycle might/could be. I always feel like I'm falling apart at the seems. Thank God I just got past last months crazy time

I hope you feel better and find something to help you out. (I gave up a long time ago, LOL)

i know your pain!!! i never realized i had pms til i started taking anti depressants regularly (guess i was so bitchy all the time i just didnt notice) i hate myself at that time too what makes it bad is i have a perfect excuse to have a histerectomy no partsa no problem right?? ( i have endometriosis) BUT my dr refuses to do the surgery cuz im FAT not a good risk for surgery so i get to be bitchy for 3-5 days and then cycle for usually 14 days which leaves me maybe a week of NORMAL sometimes i hate being female!!!!!

Ooooh...PMS...my poor sweet husband...I try not to direct my pointless anger at him, so he is usually sparedI find I vascillate from full blown bawling to extreme anger, and can switch in 10 seconds!!!!! (Hubby copes by making jokes about it...he says pms equals FOOD!!!  He's right, I will be craving something, and make these Awesome, elaborate meals for us) I firmly believe in PMS, I'm 40 & been experiencing it since I was a kid...check w/ a GOOD ob/gyn ya trust or family practice doc/np, but there is also something called (I believe) Premenstral Dysphoric disorder that is treated by certain medications when the symptoms interfere too much w/daily life...oh, w/all the women on this site, you ARE NOT alone!!!!!!!

lol... as the GUY that HAS to post on this one... its is every womens downfall... the 1 built in defect that as a man, we cant stand to bare, but know we have no choice.... as it is not your fault! my wife is the same way... for a week... i just adapted... look for signs and watch what i say/do... its ok.

now, not knowing the actual feeling let me ask this... knowing how "you get" is there a way to control it when it happens? or is that just not possible?

well some people cant control it when they cant admit to something... so if you know you are wrong i ask if you can recognize it at that time...
and yes some women take advantage of this as well... so....

you are defective!!!! dont women consider what they call our STUPIDITY, MACHISMO, BEING, ETC a defect of men! Atleast we get 1 to pin on ya!

Okay reading this makes me feel a teensy bit better. BTW the 3-4 days is just the REALLY ugly part. I mean it's bad. Yaz has been hiding. Dillon blees his heart seems to understand more than anyone else in the house. He stays out of my way unless it's to give me a hug and say, "I love you Mommy." He even leaves his sisters alone through this. My girls and Larry don't get it. GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!! I also get horrendous cramps. I had to have a themal ablation when Jenna was a few months old. Long story. Seems to make cramps worse. I guess I do need to call my doctor. I hate doctors. I spend SO much time with doctors for Dillon and Jenna that I really don't feel like making time for myself to go. Crazy....I know. Anyway......I'll get around to calling.

Sarah thanks for asking about Yaz. Unfortunately it has been a BAD week so I have not made her an appt. She is not showing any of the other symptoms of hypothyroidism. She is however breaking out in hives. Now I'm thinking maybe it IS allergies. gotta make that phone call to. I am finding out though that my vet is about 2x more expensive than other locals. Do I switch or not? Another dilemma for me.

I know how you feel Amy. They don't seem to get...Go Away!
As far as Yaz. Figure out what is best. Honestly, if other vets are that much cheaper, I would be heading to them. The only reason I would hesitate is that my vet knows Jack and his issues, but Yaz has been a healthy dog. Better to switch now than later when it may be harder to do so. Hugs to ALL of you, sounds like you all need them for one reason or another! Keep us posted, okay?
