For the past couple of days fenway has been acting a little diffrent. He ran out of food so i went up to pet supplys plus and got him some more. Only they didnt have the kind we normally get him.

His poop hasnt been normal. its solid but kinda runny at the same time[soft] Also the other day i saw something kinda brownish green on the floor and it looked like he threw up but there was no food in it. then i found another spot.

These are thing i can think of that might be wrong.

*He has been getting in the trash and getting the fudge sicle stick out and eating them

*He got in the trash and got a ravioli can out and was licking it...i caught him

*He was chewing on a moth

*He switched food from purina beniful to natural choice which he was on when we first got him....it doesnt seem like he wants to eat it

*The vet told me a while ago when his tummy was upset to feed him boiled rice or hamburger and i fed him rice but he didnt want it

Also he hasnt been as hyper, just kinda layed back and sleepy. Maybe because of the heat?

Help please im scared for him

Changing up his food can certainly upset his stomach.  (As can eating trash)

Try adding some boiled chicken to the rice.  Also for upset tummies and loose stools, you might try giving him a spoonful of plain yougurt and a spoonful of plain canned pumpkin (plain, not the pumpkin pie filling).

Hope his tummy feels better soon.

Sorry he is sick. Give him some time with nothing to eat since he won't eat the rice. And then try some rice. Our vet says wait 12-24 hrs then try rice, as long as they are drinking some water. Also sounds like the garbage is a huge issue, I would fix that right away. Get a larger can with a lid, also put a brick in the bottom or something so it can't get knocked over. But a lid is key so it won't keep tempting him.

I hope Fenway is better this morning. I hope you'll correct the trash issue soon. If you catch him in the trash.... spray him with a water bottle and say "no" then immediately divert his attention to something positive (a treat... a toy... just some love and affection...). Soon he'll give up trying to get in the trash.

Awww...poor Fenway. Hopefully his tummy issues have settled down. Switching foods can cause tummy upset and the trash is a big issue that you have to stop - there's just way too much stuff that could hurt him there.

I hope you can check in soon and let us know how he's doing!!

Or try the soda can with pennies in it. I have our kitchen trash up on a table. Looks stupid but it has helped with the dog and both cats. Shiloh has issues with q-tips, she will eat the fuzzy ends off and 1/4 inch of the plastic beneath if the cans are left down for any amount of time.
