Brutus went on his first little hike yesterday in the Heldeberg Mountains.  He spent a lot of time trying to follow scents so it was next to impossible to get a picture of him.  The one I did manage to get has his nose planted in the ground smelling something.  I figured I would share a couple of fall foliage pics with you.  I always seem to forget what beauty lies right in my own back yard.  The colors are super this year, of course I forgot my digital camera so these were taken with my phone.  Oh and the poor guy was exhausted and slept for 4 hours when we got home.

WOW!!! That is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!   i love fall in the north.  We live in florida,  it doesn't even COMPARE to the wonderful coloring you guys get in the fall.  BTW...I don't know where that is either, I just KNOW it is north of Florida!

Heldeberg Mountains are located in upstate NY (Albany county).  I remember when I was younger my Aunt & Uncle from Calif and my Aunt & Uncle from Florida would make a special trip to NY in the fall just to see the colors.  Being young and taking the change in colors for granted I always thought they were being silly.  I could never figure out why you would "waste" a vacation on that and not head to Disney... what a goofball I was!!

I lived in NJ for a while, and left as soon as I could, no offense, to anyone from NJ.  But, I really enjoyed the fall over there,  it was awesome!!! over here, we are still going to the beach.  when winter comes, there is not a whole lot to do in Florida.
