I sent this to a co-worker and she replied, "It’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. Any volunteers?" I guess instead of sitting on my rear and griping about the candidates, I should be doing something about it.

I haven't liked the presidential choices since 1976. The only one I like in this election is Sarah Palin. Not that I agree with any of her opinions, not that I think that she has more than half a brain. Just that she is the only one of the four that is "fresh" if you know what I mean. Sure she sounds like she just stepped out of a Coen brothers comedy - but at least the TV doesn't emanate the smell of body odor from the tomb or the look of honorable deceit when she comes on.

I was going to put a green political looking sign on my lawn that said Epstein -- Barr. My wife forbade it. I still wonder how many people would understand that I was conducting a viral campaign.

Yeah... I was telling a friend that if I vote for one I'll have lots of issues I agree with him on... and lots that I don't.
And if I vote for the other, same thing.
Neither represents me well.
On the flip side, that means that at least I do agree with each of them about SOME things...

But the bad thing is I really do care about the things I heartily disagree with each about. Grr.

Yeah...1976, think I can guess on that one...

Be careful, the last time I wanted to vote for someone "fresh" and "someone different", the state ended up with Jesse Ventura for Govenor of Minnesota. I can't believe I'm admitting that.

I don't like any of the candidate but McCain really creeps me out....not just his views but his facial expressions and the way he says things....weirdly creepy.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm not Republican or Democrat and don't trust any politician.  There's something "wrong" with McCain.....

I wish we could vote for the option of "non of the above" My husband had a good idea. Why is it that in just about every other "competition" there is a first, second and third place? Why doesn't whoever wins get to be president and the second place gets to be vice president? If that would happen, both parties would be represented, just like in the Senate and Congress. Just a thought!

The only thing I like about Sarah Palin is how well Tina Fey can imitate her!  Really, I have issues with her as a mother.  I've become quite the fanatic about it.  I started researching her when she was first announced and I can't seem to get past that I think she's a big fat liar about her baby boy Trig.  If you research everythihg about her pregnancy, you end up with way more questions than answers.  Not that her child's paternity is an  issue of the VP, but if you are a liar, and someone who covers up the truth, then your integrity and character are flawed in my opinion.  If you wanted to squelch a rumor about your child, you would just come out with the truth.  Not, put your other child in the spotlight to diffuse the situation.  If Trig is her baby, then she was really careless in her high risk pregnancy with her high risk baby.  She has been far from a good mother.  So, I won't be giving her any acclamations for being pro-life with her Down Syndrome baby.  Trig's just lucky he has his big sisters (or his real Mom) to take care of him.

Oh, I might catch some heat for this.  Sorry if you are a big fan!

Carol

I think (JUST my personal opinion) that Palin is a dangerous opportunist...this having Nothing to do with her gender. She is fully aware that McCain is on his last little leg physically. She is very dangerous for our country...JMO.

Not that it has anything to do with anything...BUT she is also a horrific sportsperson...her idea of a good kill is ariel (by helicopter...nice) wolf hunting. Ever seen one of those hunts?

Fair & Balanced I say!

one thing that scares me about obama... is his muslims faith...  i have a problem with that.  I don't know much about it....   but don't care to...   and some of his beliefs are somethings that I don't believe in... he does give good speech and knows what you want to hear.... but...   he still scares me.

And McCain could be dead in 2 years and leave us with Paliin. And lord knows he won;t disclose his medical history, it would kill any shot he has. There are many reasons we need to add another canidate!!

Honestly, I think it's all about THEM and not about the citizens of the US - I doubt EITHER candidate will make a huge difference in the US economy.... I'm not inspired by either... in fact, I'm disgusted by both...

Obama is NOT of the Muslim faith. That is what has been known in political camps as "smear campaigning" to instill fear of the unknown .

He is a confirmed "Christian"...for whatever that is worth.

Research. He is as Christian as ole McCain...just different churches.....

Also...McCain was born in Panama (yes the US held) and Obama Hawaii...so put to rest the continuous smear of "not being American" to bed along with the "Muslim Faith" garbage.....

That is one of my big fears, that McCain would croak early into his Presidency and we'd be left with a very inexperienced Sarah Palin leading our country. My hubby thinks that there is a good chance that Obama would be assassinated if he became president, though. I hope our country really isn't that backwards!
