Pam in Arizona offered to foster him, but we've been having issues with trying to find a flight that everybody was available, long layovers, and then we had weather issues, etc....

Well, Spanky was recently adopted by the daughter of the volunteer on Long Island from the shelter! She immediately fell in love with him, and now he's in a new safe and loving home (and already sleeping in bed with his new mom!)

Yay Spanky!!  And many thanks to Pam and Amy in AZ for offering to help this little guy!

With all the bad stuff going on with Ratties it is so nice to read good news.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

That's great Sue! YAY! for Spanky I hope he is happy for all his days! I have a special place for special needs dogs! I had a collie that was born without her left front leg, the breeder was going to euth her long story short I ended up with her..and I had her from 8 weeks old to 14 years old! her name was Laura and she was a total sweetheart, and healthy all her life, got along just fine all those years!

So glad to hear that Spanky has a new forever home and a mom who will spoil him as he deserves.
