Whenever I go to the local dog park, it seems there is always one dog who constantly is humping other dogs. Many owners just let their dogs hump other dogs and don't do anything to correct or stop the behavior.

What is the proper way to get other dogs to stop humping your dog??

And why do dogs that are spayed or neutered continue the humping behavior?  I know sometimes its a dominance thing, but it is also very annoying and embarrassing.

Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

Well, I hadn't thought of that issue at dog parks but I guess it would be. I have no idea what the correct etiquette would be if you ask the owner to control the dog and they won't. Yet another reason I don't go to dog parks. Hopefully someone will have some advice for you.

I don't have an answer, but I watched this happen a few days ago. The humper owner didn't do anything, and the dog being humped owner didn't do anything either. I would have been p***ed! I don't go into the dog park. We just walk at the park.
