Im a little concerned with the shelters fee's they are high, but well make it!! Her name is Reba (the little girl) and htey also have a little boy there 10months named Mac... Im thinking of scopping him up too. They were supposed to be PTS on friday but got an extension. |

Jaclyn!!! They are sooooo pretty!!!! That younger one is a cutie...
have you shown these to any of the Rattie Rescues????
WOW! You JUST started to volunteer, and see?! SUCKED in! TOLD ya!!! LOL!
You could temp them like I am doing until a foster opens up...or GAP them. (Since Rattitude is just starting out that would help them financially....just a thought.)
Can't believe they haven't been adopted!
There are some RatBones volunteers in Texas...and I think Rat Terrier Rescue too...not sure about New Rattitude...call/email Terry with New Rattitude if there is anyone near Irving who could help pull?
Surely out of all those Rattie groups someone might be near there???????
They also have a Rat Terrier Forum on Yahoo...and they can ask for help via that...
SOMEONE....anyone.... help this girl get these pups to safety!!!
THANKS Jaclyn!!!!!

PS...Also..Jaclyn...if you pull them under the Rescue group, whichever one will help, you will have a 501c #...
MOST shelters will release them with smaller or no fees...depends on the Vetting done and the shelter....you need to ask the shelter director about their rescue policies and find a rescue group to assist in the pulling of these two. |

ANOTHER PS..... Irving to Phoenix is 1000 miles....might be better to find someone near Dallas to pull them for you and fly them to you.....there is a posting on here about flying rescues and the different airlines, costs, etc.
Dallas to Phoenix ...might actually be cheaper to fly them? (Gas costs) |

awwwww MAN!!! I wish my little bro (25) was ready for a dog ..he lives in Grapevine, TX....very close! I know that umm Mitch lives close too....and a few others i think.....DARN...I should call him and email him the pics.....even if he was ready for a dog though I think he would want a big one crossing my fingers for these babies! |

WHY isn't there an edit button???
Anywho...maybe they could be crated together to save $$$...if the crate was large and they get along?
If someone in, or near, Dallas could pull them and keep them long enough to vet them and test them?
Just another possibility.....

Yogis Mum, I plan on keeping them so I doubt a rescue would let me use their 501#... right now it looks like my hubby will only go for Reba... but in good conscience I cannot leave mitch there... what to do! There will be NO WAY i could afford to fly them... the only way to get them to me is if this trucker comes through... supposedly he is coming through Arizona... If he defaults then I cannot get them |

I have looked into Operation Roger before. They cost about $25 per dog I think now to transport, but thats cheap! If the trucker cannot bring them the whole way I think you can find volunteer housing for either yourself or another trucker to pick them up from to get them the rest of the way. I believe if you sign up on their website, you can post your request for transport on there and whatever trucker coming through can volunteer. I have never used this form of transport but I cannot imagine they would not be good to the dogs if they are willing to help bring them cross country. I am in Gilbert AZ so if you need a co-pilot to drive a little ways out to pick them up let me know. I will also post on Ratbone group for you. |

Pam thanks for the offer and if i have to drive to meet someone to get her ( i dont expect front door drop off service lol) that would be great for you to come with me... we JUST moved to AZ in march and I cant get to walmart by myself yet lol |

| Hey, I just looked at the petfinder... where are you getting the name Mitch from? Because I see Reba, and I see two male ratties under her, but neither has the name Mitch in it... did you get this from a phone call or has Mitch been adopted and those two boys are different guys? |

| I actually didnt find Reba or Mitch on petfinder, I found them through a myspace bulletin! They were posted last week as urgent and were due to be put down on friday but they got an extension. I am certain that the woman who listed them had him listed as mitch... Im going to go check right now! |

UGH I wish there were an edit button, but if you add this myspace to yours and go through her albums you can see where she has them listed with all the other animals in the Irving shelter http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=124607861 |

okay well we have some offers of financial help and Kathy the Flight Guru for Ratbones has chimed in with some good flight info... If you fly the 2 I would go American Airlines 7:30am from DFW direct flight 8:00am arrive in PHX and make sure you go cargo confirmed or expedite not priority parcel. cost will be $180-$200 total for both in 200 series kennel about 15 pounds each. Call 1-800-227-4622 and they can go COD where you pay in PHX. Maybe Paula in TX can get them from Irving,TX and bring to airport DFW only 20 minutes away. You'll need crates and health certificates. Kathy Young Washington The shelter can probably help with the crates and health certs if you ask. And there are some Ratbone people as you can see who might be able to get them to the airport if need be. So let us know what you hear from Ginger! And how you'd like to proceed. Sounds like we can get her done! |

Here is yet another option suggested. Name: Cheryl Kaminski Email: GetMeTherePlease@... (gmail.com ) Address: Austin, TX Phone:512-394-7789 The above gal is known for helping organize animal transport. And she is in Texas. Might be worth a shot if you don't want to go the fliught or trucker route. |
