Nikki will chew on a cord for 2 seconds to see what it is, she chews on pens, plastic flag poles, ANYTHING i put near her... one day she chewed on the TV remote to see what it was.  She is so curious and funny... I love her to bits, even though if she's not in her crate when we're gone she tears up the house

Be careful what she gets ahold of as some things can hurt her. You don't want her choking on anything or swallowing something that can cut her insides or create a blockage. You're smart to crate her when you aren't there to watch her!

BTW I lost several magazines last night to my new foster puppy....he preferred to chew on those instead of his appropriate chew toys!

Sally is a big chewer as well. I don't crate her when I go to work, but I do however, gate her off into the kitchen to limit the trouble you can get into. Our kitchen is pretty big so she has a nice area to play in. Off the kitchen is a small bathroom that I learned very early that we had to close that door. She got the toliet paper and ran it all over the kitchen and then the magazine holder in there for DH's magazines where shredded to within an inch of their life. I swear if I had a cross-hatched shredder, it wouldn't have done a better job than Sally did on those magazines! If we mistakenly leave anything on the kitchen table she will get it and chew it up. One day DH left a shirt laying over the back of the chair and when I got home it was in pieces! She especially loves newspapers...big mess with those. Victoria left her flip-flop in there one day, and strangely enough she didn't chew on that. But a pair of her undies got dropped on the way from laundry room to Victoria's room to be put away (freshly laundered) and those had nice holes in them by the time we recovered them. She also watches the floor, window sills for any bug that might happen to get into our house and she plays with the dang things....by the time she's done, they are dead.

I dont have chew marks in my cell phone for nothing!

Blue once dragged my cell phone all the way upstairs, and when i caught him red handed he just nuzzled it my way and looked at me like " Look mom, I brought it up for you!"

Daisy is in LOVE with dryer sheets, and watch out if she gets ahold of toilet paper!! She's also moving on to the TV remote, the telephone, and electric cords (but I always take those away and tell her no). Right now her big thing is sticks...some of 'em she runs around with are bigger than she is!!
