You know how they rescheduled my lawn mower repair service twice now and I was told they would come today (first thing).  No Sears at 10:30, so I called them.  I am on the schedule for FRIDAY!  Sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.!!!!!  I just talked to customer service -- all they can do is put in a request for me to be first appointment on Friday a.m., since they have already rescheduled me twice.   Then I can call on Friday morning and find out what time they are actually coming.
John Deere mowers are looking better and better!

Do you have to go through Sears? Might be worth a few extra bucks to find some idependent guy?
That is really poor customer service. How frustrating. Maybe call a few Deere dealers and see if they would take a trade in on yours? Grrrrrr.

Well, no, we don't have to go through Sears and I actually suggested we use someone else this time, but my husband wanted to stay with Sears since it's their mower. He's funny that way. This is the first year we've had problems with them and I think it's because they've changed the service schedule around and pulled the old guy from our route and put in a new guy.

I've had bad CS from them before too.  Tried to order a patio set, was told it would be in on a certain date, called that date and was told by the store it would be on the next truck.  Wasn't so I called the customer service department and their reply was " we are not getting anymore of those sets anywhere so I don't know why it was EVER approved"! This after they had already taken my money, so as you can see I don't recommend sears

I've also had awful customer service from them, and no longer do business with them at all. It was all over a stove we purchased from them. But I'm not sure Sears is any worse than anyone else these days, to be honest. Seems customer service has been thrown out the proverbial window by most ALL companies these days! (our telephone company comes to mind.. went through that with them when they would not give me a "time" for repairs.. just said they would come between 8 and 5.. and then never showed up at all) Nothing is more frustrating!

You know, we bought a refrigerator from Sears a few years back and the CS was the best. The water dispenser on the front developed a leak, and when they couldn't repair it, they brought out a new one (it was about 6 mos old). After about the same time period, the new one did the same thing. They let me pick out a totally new refrigerator in a different brand and replaced it. They were great about the whole thing. But, this lawn mower thing has not made me very happy. Oh well, if they can just get here early Friday a.m., so as not to mess up my whole day, it will work out.
