Please keep NYC Mom in your thoughts and prayers today as she is having to put Nappy down. Think that is the hardest thing we can ever have to make a decision to do!  Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder, Maureen.  I was thinking about that yesterday, but been so busy this morning I had forgotten.  I've been in that predicament, and it's terribly hard to make the decision, and then carry it out, even when you have every reason to believe that it's the only solution.  I know what she and her family are going through.

Will do. I've not had to make this decision yet. Our Rottie passed away in his sleep before it was necessary. But know I will one day - I feel for her.

Definitely in my thoughts. Very hard decision to go through. Never had to do it with a dog, but I have with a cat I had for 16 years. Knew it was the right thing to do, but still the hardest thing ever. Very toughest part of having a pet in your family. My heart is going out to you. Hope you can take some comfort from all of us who know how you feel.

She will be, definitely. I can't imagine how hard that must be, Yogi is my first dog on my own and when the day comes I don't know what I'll do. My heart goes out to her.

I woke up thinking about her and Nappy this morning. I've been there three times in my life, two of those times this year, five weeks apart. It truly was the most difficult and heart-wrenching decisions I've had to make. It still hurts, but I know I let them go out of love for them.
