Cameo in particular, has animated dreams, usually she will just stir or wiggle, but sometimes (rarely) she will be vocal and/or will move her legs as if she's running in her dream. One time it seemed as if she was being chased. I usually nudge her a bit to get her out of the dream, but not wake her up fully and she goes on about the business of getting some good sleep time. |

| Nala does it too, is there something we should or shouldn't do when they dream like that? |

| I usually let Russ sleep through it, unless he starts making little woof or yip noises, then I nudge him. Peca doesn't seem to dream as much, she will occassionally make eating motions though, and I let her dream on because I figure that is a happy dream, knowing how much she likes to eat. |

Molly will wooft and growl in her sleep at times. since she once set the others off barking (in the middle of the night) with one of her dreaming episodes, I will put my hand on her, or scratch her head to calm her down a bit. she'll wake up a tiny bit, just enough to stretch and go back to her dream, but without the vocalizing. |

| Hendryx isn't big on animated dreams, he rarely has them. Our late dog, Clyde, had them frequently. I guess that Clyde dreamed about rabbits because he was too timid to chase the real ones. |

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK! |

| Noodles will occasionally have nightmares and move her legs like shes running and cry. I wisper her name in her ear until she calms down or wakes up. Otherwise If she dreaming and moving around I just put my hand on her belly or butt or her back, depending on how she is laying. Like you I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do for her, but it makes ME fell better/comforted. |

Funny that I should read this right after one of my dogs just had a good bark in his dreams. The strange thing is he rarely (and I do mean rarely) ever barks when he's awake. The only time I wake him is when he has a dream where his body seems to convulse involuntarily. I'm not sure where it comes from, but I'll nudge him out of it just because it's a bit disturbing to watch. |
