The Calif. Rat Bones gang is pretty close.
We do all the NorCal SPCA fund raisers. Next one is June 9th in Sacramento. It's the Doggie Dash for cancer. Our girl Sheila loves to work the booth and is well known out here. She is one of a kind and we can never thank RBR enough for her. We are not fostering right now but we will do what is needed.

There are many of us that support our breed rescue. Many work behind the scenes. Everyone I know has take back in their contracts. We would not have such a healthy breed if not for the careful research and breeding practices of many Rat Terrier breeders. What you see in shelters are not from these breeders, they are from mills and back yard breeders. We make no money breeding dogs the correct way, we actually loose money. It's for the love of the breed. |

| I am really glad to hear that. We always hear about the bad breeders but rarely about the proactive breeders. I think that is absolutely fantastic that you give back and breed responsibly. In my perfect world for every puppy sold one should be rescued. Thank you for giving back to the rat terrier community in need. |

The deal was if we are going to breed we would do rescue too.
Tell ya what. Going down the Top 10 list of RT's at the UKC site, almost 50% of the breeders there are also into rescue. One of them is on the BOD for Rat Bones.... |
