i showed my husband both pics of sookies babies, i told him that i believe that their tales were not docked. we really like that.  the more we have been looking around to adopt another,  we keep coming back to those pups. I am not sure how far Jacksonville is from Tallehassee, but we go there once a month.  my husband prefers to get a boy, but says that there is a girl with a cute personality he wouldn't mind.  I am really excited about it. can someone please give more info on how sookie and her pups are doing, and maybe a picture of them now,  i believe the only pics out there are when they were first born, unless i am not looking in the right places.   thank you.

You are correct, their tails were not docked as the pups were too old to have that done when Ratbones got them. You need to email apps@ratbonerescues.com and express your interest...these little guys will go fast and it would be best to the process started. Once you "apply" then you will be connected with the foster mom who can answer all your questions.

PS: I got to see them in person and they really are adorable!!

Hi Trix! I'm Sookie's fostermom. I hope to have new pics in their album later today.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about Sookie, the puppies, or adoptiing from Ratbone.  If you prefer to "speak" privately you can reach me by email at rattiemom2003@yahoo.com

When the babies are a little older you and your husband are welcome to come and meet them and Sookie. Tally is only about 2 1/2 hours from Jax, I think.

We won't start taking applications for Sookie's babies until they are 6 weeks old, but that's just a couple of weeks away. She has 2 girls and 4 bopys, so there's plenty to choose from!

Thank you for considering a rescued Rattie!!

That is not too bad,  the distance.  We live about 3 1/2- 4 hours west of Talle.  We go that way every 3rd weekend of the month.  I read that they will be ready 17 Nov.  we are looking for a rattie that is about the same size as Trixy, (9-10 lbs)  but no more that 20 lbs.  So, we would probably like the smallest of the litter.  from the pictures that i saw,  sookie, is a very pretty dog,  we really like that chocolate color.  I can't wait to talk to my husband when he gets home from, work!!!!

I'd be happy to help transport a baby from Jax to Tally, if necessary.

Thank you very much.  I will talk to my husband again. Last night was Monday Football,  having a conversation with him  when football is on,  doesn't happen.  LOL
