So yesterday I come home from work and I'm in the bathroom....I hear barking and then yelping like one of them is hurt (yes, again!). Come running out and Luna (insane cat) is by the fridge and the dogs are all barking at her - and she's got blood on her leg and chest! She's doing her psycho howl, etc. Well, I grab her and carry her to the bathroom....check her out and no wounds are on her.
Run out and grab each of the ratties and do a body search for wounds...nothing. Loco had a deep scratch about 1/2 inch under her eye though! Bad. And that was with me cutting Luna's claws down as short as I could.
Now, since Skipper arrived he likes to mess with Luna when she growls...which she is doing more frequently. So after the scare last night the ratties are not allowed to even try to play with Luna. I have a squirt bottle and as soon as one of them would even approach her (which makes her growl and then they get excited) i would spray them. And it worked! They backed off.
Bill and I talked last night. I was afraid he would think too many dogs were causing Luna to go crazy but he actually thinks she is turning mean and would have whether we'd gotten Skipper or not. He thinks she may have a physical issue that makes her hurt or something. Either that or she's simply "not right". We always thought she was inbred....she was odd from the beginning. Anyway, he will take her to the vet....and I'm sure it will take a while for him to do it but I'll have to be patient and wait for him to do it. |

We have been using the spray bottle on Dottie for several weeks now. We started using it for unnecessary barking, and it work so well I decided to try it with "off".
It has worked great. Any time she gets on something that she is not suppossed to be on, we tell her "off" and a quick spray on the rear. That gets her attention quicker than anything. Now all we have to do is say "off" and she spins around expecting the spray.

| Yup, I finally tried the bottle too. It really works great! On ratties, that is....the brussels griffon/shih tsu mix just sits there and takes it. |
|
Do they really love us or are we just walking food dispensers? |

| Lucy is terrified of water, so I bet she would not like a spray bottle. She especially hates when the huge green spitting snake, aka hose, comes out. She hides in her fort, her favorite spot in the yard it's a really overgrown rose bush that has an opening and an open area under the branches. Glad to hear the spray bottle is working. |

| It does not work for Molly. We tried to use it for barking. She runs and hides when she sees the bottle grumbling all the way. |
