My boyfriend of about four months has two RTs, Eli and Layla. In those four months, Eli has progressively gotten worse at peeing in the house. When we take the dogs out, they use do their business, but not ten minutes after coming back inside, Eli has peed somewhere. He has a few "usual spots" that he does this. We can always tell when he's peed in the house because he comes around with a REALLY guilty look on his face.
I think it's a jealousy issue, even though he's spoiled rotten. My boyfriend doesn't think so.
Can y'all think of any solutions to getting Eli to stop peeing inside the house?
First thing i would do, is to have him checked out for urinary tract infection.... I had that same problem with one of my dogs, and then he got on some antibiotic... and he has not had any peeing problems since....
he may feel the urge to pee alot and can't help it... and he may be in pain.... because i know urinary tract infections are painful.
So rule that out first.... and go from there.
Oh and welcome to the site and keep us posted on Eli please! and we also love pictures! |
