Hi everyone,     Wow where do I start?       I've been in the house for a week now.... Its a sweet little house..  I've been working on getting everything in order ...  it will drive me nuts till the place is perfect...

I've come such a long way in the last 3 months...     I now have a nearly new house, ( 3 years old)  and all new stuff...   I love this little house.. its a little bigger than Heart House was in sq. footage..  and I have things I've never had before... Like a walk in closet and a master bath,    a dishwasher....  being single it will take me a month to get up enough dirty dishes to wash them in it... lol   a smooth cooktop stove and the fridge has an icemaker...

The back yard is privacy fenced... and there is absolutly NOTHING planted in it...   so I will have to plant a tree or two and bushes, flowers etc... But I guess thats the beauty of having a new home,  I get to do what I want in the yard... Its not like the park that was Heart House back yard,  but its all good...

The house is light brick in the front and vinyl siding the rest of the way... (tan with brown roof)      I love my new bedroom funiture,  Its been a long many years since I've had matching bedroom funiture... and that Tempurpedic bed is the bomb....             I have a 42" hi Def tv and Sony Surround system...  I replaced the 30 year old Pioneer speakers with a Bose Wave Radio and CD changer....

For a long time after the flood I thought about how much  I lost,   but in reality with this new house and all the new stuff I didn't really loose that much...        Considering I have all new stuff now...

I bought a Dyson vaccume.... that dude will suck the paint off the walls!...

I am so glad that this flood nightmare is finally behind me...  its been a long hard road... but I have come out on top of it all...better than before... I even have a tanning bed...   the previous owners didn't want to have to move it and had just replaced the bulbs and I bought it....  I am loving this...

I have taken a few pix and will post them in a day or two...   right now its storming so I  post the pix soon...

Love to you all....         Jan

Glad you're able to touch base with us, Jan! Pleased everything is starting to settle down for you now. I'm sure you're gonna enjoy that new house. Soon you'll have as many fun memories associated with it as Heart House. On a positive note, you won't have any negative memories (the troll) associated with this one. LOL Best of luck to you and Sassy in your new home. Do stop in when you can.

Thanks everyone... and I love you all for thinking of me the last 3 months and keeping me in your prayers..
This gets even sweeter... ready for this?

the SBA (small business admin) is gonna buy out this mortgage I just closed on and my interest rate will be 2.687 and my payment will be .....$305.00 a month.. 30 year fixed...
This is the follow up that FEMA does...

I am thinking that I can have this house paid for by the time I retire.

I have been so blessed in all of this...

I haven't been around much the past few months, and was so happy to see your update!  So happy to hear that everything is falling into place for you (& Sassy) and that you will have such a nice break in interest to help in getting your house paid off before you retire... that's just awesome!
