watching Jack (my rattie) run.  It is such a joy to watch him.  He is sooo fast and athletic.  Very coordinated little dog who can change direction in a heart beat and not lose his rythym.  I could watch him run all day.  He runs around our trampoline around and around, then all of a sudden he will head straight for Willy then at the last second change direction and go the other way.  I really get a kick out of it.  A cute game we play is I will ask him if he wants to go outside.  He will get soooo excited and run to the door.  Then I will say "on your mark...get set...then I will pause, he's all tense, then I open the door and say GO!!!  He will tear out the door at lightning speed.  It is so fun to watch.  I will have to figure out how to do video and somehow put it on here.

I'm the same way with Hendryx. I'll just watch go vaulting through the landscaping as he checks his territory for stray rodents and cats. He just seems to defy gravity.

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

I love watching my ratties run. We have about a 1 acre field that the dogs love to run in. The ratties will run laps around the field with Rosie just staring at them...she's given up even trying to catch them long ago, they're just too fast for her. Since my ratties are built so differently (Lucy has a thin whippet like body and Molly has more of a stalky beagle type body even though they are from the same litter), its fun to watch the difference in the 2 of them...Molly only catches Lucy if Lucy LETS her, otherwise, Molly is about 30 ft behind Lucy, both running at full speed.

I love watching them run! We have an old El Camino in the back yard (hubby says he will restore it some day...) that they run laps around.

So is Jack happier now that you have another rattie in the house?
