I just recently found a rat terrier dodging cars on a 4 lane highway. No collar, no tags
I took her home, placed a found ad, and to make a long story short, she is mine now! There were some health issues (mange, malnourished, dehydrated and worms) but now she is healthy. She is the best pet I have ever had. She is just so smart. She is completely housebroken to the point that she would burst first! She is a little jealous of the others but she is doing just great!
I have never joined a chat group before, but I have just absolutly fallen in love with this breed!!! |

They do have a way of worming themselves into your heart. I never thought that I would be a "little-dog guy" until I met our Dottie.

Welcome! Your story is very similar to how I got my first rattie, Mitzy, except that it was my friend that found her on the road instead of me. She was 7-8 weeks old, dehydrated, wormy no mange though. That was my introduction to the breed and I'm hooked now. Bless you for rescuing this baby, I know you'll be glad you did! |

I am a new rat terrier mom. I fell in love with one that my daughter had bought. When my granddaughter found out how much I liked it, she gave me one for my birthday. She is the light of my life. Her name is Maggie, and she is now three months old. I found this site, and have become addicted to it. |
