You can see from a few of these pictures how thin he is. Usually you can't see his ribs in the pictures... but yes he is very thin. Yet, he gets exactly twice as much as my other dogs. :=(
I promise -- I DO feed him, contrary to what some people might think!

I guess I don't remember that book, Lynn. So that's where the term uniboobie comes from? Wow.... I am indeed out of the loop! Maybe I should dig out my old Dr. Seuss books, eh? LOL

Meant to add (hate that the edit button is GONE! :=(.... that Hoss had an undescended testicle, so prior to him being neutered we used to refer to him as "uniball" (like the Pilot pens.. haha). So I thought maybe "uniboobie" was something similar! hahahaha

I got excited thinking I would actually get some tips!  I let the puppies outside and they are all diggers!  I tried to stop them.  I don't want them gettting into anything at this tender young age, but there was no stopping them.  They dug, ate some grass, tore up some leaves, played and then came back in to the pee pad to do their business.  I am trying to start the potty training, but so far it hasn't worked at all!

Carol -- Not sure you'll have much luck until your pack becomes smaller. LOL Training needs to be done one-on-one in most instances and that for you would be really difficult right now! LOL I'll post something in the training section about training a dog not to dig. It's TOUGH to accomplish... terriers are diggers and the instinct to dig runs deep. Bailey is a digger and it doesn't help that we have a LOT of moles in our yard. I don't know which is worse... the mole hills or the dog holes. But... the good thing is.... he is trained to stop when I say stop. I just didn't say stop when he was doing this, because I was taking pictures.

At least they (your pups) came to the piddle pad to do their business, yes? That's good !

I love the fact that Bailey acts like a dog LOL!! With how great he is in agility and how well mannered and trained he is it's funny when he is "doglike". The bananas, digging and the swamp, you go Bailey!!

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

Thanks for that, Val. Yes... I allow my dogs to be dogs (they ARE dogs, after all... despite the fact we pretend sometimes that they are little humans).. I allow their instincts to take over from time to time... and there's NOTHING I enjoy more than just letting them run free, and roll in cow poop, and swim in green swamp water..... etc. It's my opinion that if you give your dogs freedoms such as these, it makes the other times (when they have to be supervised and well mannered) easier. I think you need a mixture of both worlds in order to have a well-rounded dog or dogs.

Does that make sense?

Yes, it is good that they go on the pee pads, but I would love for them to go outside.  I'm on my 3rd box of 101 pee pads!  They are now starting to tear up the pee pads and play with them.  Sometimes, their front feet are on it, but their little hiney is not, but they think they are doing it right!  They are almost 7 weeks and it won't be long till they start moving away.  I'm sure I'll be missing those little poop monsters!  They have done really well at learning not to poop on their bedding.  I have a crate and a big pillow for them to sleep and play on...they keep that area pretty clean unless they have accidentally stepped in poop.  I remember the days when you used to tell me how clean their area was in photos....You should see it now!!!  That was back when they were nursing and Tinkerbelle cleaned up after them.  Ah, the good old days!

It makes total sense. We are somewhat the same in our house. Fred and Alice both know when it's training time and time to focus. Not that it always happens that way but we try.  They are pretty well rounded. I am with you on the enjoying watching them be dogs. When we go down the park and let them hunt moles its so funny to watch. Their little tails go a mile a minute and they dig and then Fred will even use his mouth to move dirt/branches around, truly being a dog and it's so heartwarming. I totally understand where you are coming from.
