Im feeling like a really bad rattie mommy.  We've been so busy for the past week that poor Jack has been feeling neglected.  I havent been playing with him very much and I've only been taking him out to go potty then back in again.  Poor guy prob. feels so cooped up in the house.  Last night I took him outside and he just ran and ran and ran around the yard.   Things have gotten less busy now so he will get the attention he wants and deserves.   But I feel terrible.   My step daughter asked me the other day if I knew my dog howls.  I didnt know that he howled...she said she was in the shower and we had all left (one of the many in and out days we've had lately) and she heard this weird noise.  She opened the door and heard Jack just howling loudly.  He didnt know she was there I guess.  Poor guy...mean mommy!!

Sometimes life just happens. Some days Hendryx is the center of attention all day. Some days he only gets a pat on the head as we head out the door. At least we worry, as do you. There are some folk who write it off as "just a dog after all."

His name is Hendryx! He's a rat terrier! OK!

One thing that I love about dogs is that, for the most part, they know how to forgive and to forgive completely.  They live in the now.  They are, to me, the embodiment of hope.

Your little one will forgive, I believe.

Hang in there!

Dogs are very forgiving... and as Dan said, life just happens sometimes. When my dogs don't get enough attention or exercise... that's when behavior issues surface sometimes. Hopefully you'll get back on track very soon!

I know life gets busy sometimes, some days I feel horrible when I have to leave my two, I fear that they will forget I love them. But when I return from those long days and finally do pay attention to them, even if for a short time, they seem to love me even more. Its like they think that mommy and daddy came home just for them. Dogs do live in the now, and as soon as everything slows down, we all know your going to give Jack extra lovings...
