I just heard that Jerry Reed passed away yesterday of complications of emphysema. He was 71. I always enjoyed his music and movies. |

| That's right! He was in "The Waterboy", too! He was that mean ol bad coach that terrified Henry Winkler so. I bet they think that all Sally Fields ever did was Boniva commercials too! |

| BAck in the day he was considered kinda cute too. Youknow who else died? I don't know his name but you ALL would recognize his voice no matter how old you are. He was the guy that did those movie trailers for the last 30 years. He also did a Geico commercial more recently - the ones where they have a professional repeat what the insured person says. |

Actually, my wife told me that I've confused this guy with Mr. Moviephone. Eh, he did the trailers for years and years. I wonder if they did a trailer for him at the Pearly Gates?

Tell your husband, he was the one driving the eighteen wheeler, with the bassett hound, and the truckload of booze, going across state lines, was Jerry Reed. The bandit, was Burt Reynolds, driving the Trans am. The sherriff was played by the Honey Mooners guy, Jackie Gleason. He died a while ago.
