In the days before the Reformation, the Church sold indulgences - a penny in the pot and the soul from Purgatory flies. Today's mantra seems to be: A dollar at Walmart and a job from America flies. I don't buy there either. I don't know if it's true, but I can still do without Walmart. |

| Walmart is evil. I refuse to go unless dragged. I hate the people, hate the atmosphere and just hate what it stands for. If we had a super target here instead of just a regular target my life would be complete...lol |

I confess. I'm a Walmart shopper. Geez you just can't beat their prices. With a family of 5 on a VERY tight budget I don't really have much choice. But I do HATE it their. I will only go on certain days at certain times. Even ours seems WAY to big and it's nowhere near the one in Albany. If I'm at one end and realize I need something at the other end I won't go back to get it. I would never survive a 2 story Wallyworld. |

YIKES. Sorry the experience wasn't great, Sue. Did you at least find the Allegro marinade? LOL! Two story Wal-Mart would be an absolute no-no for me. I can barely get through the larger super stores now without wanting to do bodily harm to somebody 15 minutes into the shopping experience. Like Amy, I really don't have much of a choice when it comes to groceries/household items/etc because Wal Mart's prices are WAY less than anything else we have available here. |

I'm a Walmart shopper but I shop Target just as much .....the ONE thing I HATE about Walmart and I shop at 4 different Walmarts (b/c they're everywhere) is that every store has 30+ cash registers and not even 10 registers opened and it's like that at every Walmart I've ever been to.....SO ANNOYING!!! |

| We have a Super KMart here in Pittsburgh. It is really nice and a manageable size with really affordable groceries. I wish we had a super Target, what are they like? |

We have a Target in Albany, but Wal-Mart was better til it exploded... I think Target is more expensive. At least here it is.
I don't know where to shop now!! |

there are 2 Walmarts near me and I refuse to go to either one...they are dirty and unorganized, and just a pain to shop in...way too big. I would much rather shop at Target...they remodeled it a few years ago and put in a grocery section. I'm not sure if it's really considered a "super-Target" since they don't have any produce or meat, and they took out the garden area to make room for the grocery area. But it's so much nicer than Walmart...I've never seen it dirty or trashy, and at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the registers are opened at all times. |

| The first time I shopped at a WalMart was in the Catskills in NY. We were there for Winter vacation and needed some underwear and stuff (my wife frequently expects me to pack everybody - like that's ever gonna happen correctly). Not a single item we bought there lasted as long as the same thing bought elsewhere. I guess that supports the rumor that WalMart is willing to accept specs that are different for the same item elsewhere. So to me, it's a matter of you get what you pay for. Is it cheaper if it only lasts 20 washes vs. 50 washes? If the kids are small and outgrowning things, the answer is yes. If we are on one of our weight-gain jags, the answer is yes. If things are stable, the answer is no. |
