Hi all,

It has been quite some time since I've had time to visit this site.

The baby is growing like a weed, and Dottie is sooo very protective of him.

Strangers aren't allowed near him without her first checking that they are ok.

this is the perfect picture for those who say Ratties aren't good with babies!! So cute!!

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

To those that commented:
It is being framed I am going to bring a copy of it to work. (Every time I look at that picture I can't help but smile no matter how bad my day has been.)

Dottie has been very good adjusting to the new addition. She has gone into full guard-dog mode since his arrival. She does show a bit of jealousy when I am playing with, or holding, him.

Dottie has always been good with children, they are the only ones that can come up behind her and just pick her up. She quickly darts away from anyone else.
Also she hates when anyone, except Connor, grabs her hind legs for any reason. I believe that they will be great partners-in-crime as soon as he gets old enough to interact more with her.

I didn't realize ratties had a bad rap with kids...when moose was 3 months I brought him into a class full of three year olds and he did awesome! and then into the toddler and 1 year old class in my school and he was awesome there too, so calm, even when they pulled his nub! haha!

Your baby is so sweet!
