The Chronicles of Gavin McRatbone are coming to an end as he will be starting his new life in Illinois soon. He has been adopted by a wonderful couple up there, his new mom is studying to be a vet! He is such a character and such an easy,lovable dog...Bill and I will miss him but now he will have his very own forever home! He's here with me in Atlanta and has been enjoying watching the geese at the lake and chasing squirrels in the dog park. I just love Gavin.....I will hate to send him off but (shush...don't tell him) I have packed some new toys in his departure bag...a nascar plushie and a chew toy and his basketball. To Gavin McRatbone who 10 weeks ago was in Fulton Co. Animal Control 2 days from being PTS. A happy tail from Ratbones!

It brings tears to my eyes thinking about how he looked when you first got him, and how close he was to being PTS...now he has a new family to go to where he will be loved. I know you're going to miss him, but now you'll have room for another foster. How soon will Gavin be going off to his new home?

We are trying to get him on a transport going thru Atlanta this weekend. If the transport doesn't work (if not enough volunteers to drive it) he will return to St. Marys with me and probably fly to Ill. within a week or so

Sounds like a wonderful new life for Gavin Great job, Mary Beth, getting him healthy and happy and ready to love a new family!!!!! Hopefully, if they don't join here they'll at least keep you updated and you can let us know how he's doing!

mary beth, you did such an awesome job with Gavin. I am sad we will lose the updates and pics of him and I have come very fond of that little guy. maybe his new family will stumble on here! Off to your forever home Gavin, Happy Tails.....................................
