!! UPDATE: This guy is safe, and will be held until Friday, vetted, and pulled into a temp foster home by Ratbones. Great work to everyone involved !!

*** The warning in the title is not meant to create drama or attract attention. Seriously - if these posts about ratties in need upset you or bother you, then do NOT read any further***

This guy is in extremely urgent need. He is in the Kalamazoo Animal Control center in Michigan and is scheduled to be put to sleep anytime after 5 p.m. today. That's in a little less than 2.5 hours.

I am aware that Ratbones has been working diligently today to come up with someway of getting him out or extending his time...but to no avail. The "shelter" will not hold him past 5 p.m. today - and were actually reluctant to wait that long.

If you know of anyone that can get him out and save his sweet little life, it would be most sincerely appreciated.

He is not quite 2 years old. Named Skippy. Appears to be well socialized and affectionate.

Too bad he wasn't in Nebraska I would go get him and keep him and make him my own. I am so glad that he is safe. Rescuing dogs is the greatest thing ever... Thank you to those who do it.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too
