I think they are getting so big. They even look like they have little fat wrinkles on their front legs. They are just adorable and I pray that they will lead long, healthy lives with wonderful, forever homes. They are lucky to have you taking care of them and loving on them Donna. I've seen what can happen if people don't intervene and take care of these babies. |

They are 1 week, and 1 day old. I just weighed them They have doubled in size! The girl weighs 12.5 oz, from 6.2 oz birth weight. The boys both weigh 12 oz, from 6 oz at birth! I guess seeing them everyday, it is kinda hard to tell. I am just glad they seem to be so healthy. Reni is skinny, but she does eat, and drink. The puppies are still feeding about every two hours. In a couple of weeks, I can start them on puppy food, so it will give her a little break, to gain some weight.

I found this on the net about eyes and ears...I think my ratties ears are already open though...
New born pups open their eyes at 12 to 15 days after birth and their ears open 14 to 17 days after birth
