So, I thought I would share my day with you guys in hopes that someone, other than me, might get a laugh for my parental training today.

  • Woke up to a very happy Brock.  We played for about half an hour and then had breakfast. Brock has bananas and cheerios, YUM!
  • Got dressed and played some more.  Note to self: I have learned to dress baby AFTER breakfast so I don't find mushed up bananas in his newly donned clothes.
  • Cleaned bedroom.  Note to self: CLOSE the doggie crate BEFORE letting curious baby in the room.  I walked in the bathroom for two minutes and come back out to Brock in the doggie crate eating doggie hair - YUCK!
  • Did Laundry. Washed, dried, and folded.  Note to self: Don't leave folded clothes where baby can get to them.  Your nicely folder clothes will very quickly be NOT so nicely unfolded clothes!  Another Note to Self: Open dryers are an OPEN invitation for baby to try to climb on in.  Close the dryer!!!
  • Mommy and Brock took a morning nap.
  • Woke up from nap and played some more.
  • Brock has lunch, Ravioli!  Note to self : When letting baby feed himself a very messy food like ravioli, a BIB is not going to help.  Undress the baby for goodness sake!
  • Cleaned messy baby up and went to play in his room.  Andy called, he's out of town, so I talked to him for about five minutes.  Note to self: JUST because you vacumed in the morning does NOT mean baby can't find something in the AFTERNOON to put in his mouth.  Flies are not very fun to fish out of baby's mouth.  Gross!
  • Brock and I went out and swam in the pool.  Came back in and played some more.
  • Fed Brock dinner.  Pizza - no clothes this time!  Smart Mommy!
  • Brock had a SOAKING wet diaper so I took his diaper off and went to run his bath.  I left him alone for two minutes to come back to a naked baby playing in his own poopie!  It was EVERYWHERE!  Note to self - NEVER, under any circumstances, leave BABY UNDIAPERED!!!!
  • Brock is now sleeping and mommy is winding down from the day.

Hope you enjoyed our day as much as I did!  :-)

Sounded like a fun day.  Something you can use if he needs to be in clothes when eating.  Get a larger t-shirt (2t) and put over his clothes.  Works well.  We use that at my center for the toddlers when they are eating.

Been there, done that....twice! It seems like only yesterday that my sons were about that age. Now they're 21 and 18. Turn your back for a minute and they're grown.

Ahhh yes, I am having momentary flashbacks of that time in my life when I had a little one..... Cherish it though....it'll be gone before you know it! You're a good Mommy!
