Even my fat clothes are tight on me. (Translation for men: Fat Clothes = largest size clothes a woman owns) I weighed myself this morning and decided that I can't eat again until next month.
Anyone in the same boat as me? Careful or we'll sink it! Anyone interested in doing that online weight loss support thing that some members were doing a few months ago? |

| I decided that my first step will be giving up Dr. Peppers and other sodas. I waste a lot of calories on those. I've already drank almost a liter of water so far today. I remember from my Weight Watchers days that drinking plenty of water is a good weight loss tool, plus healthy for us. |

I need to move to a country where the men admire and appreciate a big woman. Where fat = successful. Not that hubby says anything at all about my weight! He's learned a few things over the last 25 years with me.

| I'm with ya!! I need all the support that I can get. Right now, my plan is to cut back on my portions, stop the bad snacking that I do at my desk all day, no soda's during the week, just water; then on the weekends if I want a soda or I want to go out to eat or cook out, I can. I don't know if it'll work, but that's my plan and I'm sticking to it............................................. maybe!! LOL |

I can TOTALLY relate, Pam! I lost over 70 pounds a few years ago on Weight Watchers - and I've probably gained that back, plus some over the past 6-9 months. The stress from work (which is no longer an issue, thank god!) and Sasha's illness and subsequent death really hit me hard, so to comfort myself, I stuffed my face. I feel disgusting. All that hard work for nothing. It's the story of my life! Lose 30, gain back 45. Lose 50, gain back 60. I just have to get my motivation back up to do it again. My fat clothes are also tight and it sickens me!!

Have you ever had Diet Dr. Pepper? My husband and I love it (we call it liquid crack ). We also like Diet Mtn Dew. I think that is a great first step! I got my husband to switch to diet a few years back and he lost like 8 pounds just from that ...Men ...

I used to be addicted to Diet Coke and I successfully kicked that habit a few years ago, so I don't want to get back on anything with NutraSweet in it. I need to drink more water anyway. Brandy, your plan sounds sensible. You have to have a few splurges every now and then (which you have planned for the weekends) or you won't be able to stick to your plan. |

| We as women fluctuate so much that we all have those times where we come to that realization. I went through that a few months ago and I just went and bought a gym membership again. I'm with all of you, I LOVE food and I will never be successful on a diet. Working out to me is the easiest way for me. I think cutting out pop is a good step, pam. Pop is terrible for you. |

| I feel you! I still need to loose 20 lbs from Gavin's pregnancy than another 20 from Rylee's and than another 20 to get down to a really healthy weight. Sigh, if only I could put the Coke down and step away. I just don't like water... it NEEDS to have flavor. Ugh! |

I had been gaining like crazy and just made some changes. For sweets I went to pudding, low in fat and calories yet really yummy. Instead of chips do popcorn. I drink a lot of water at work and I don't like to work out at all so I have been parking farther and taking the stairs. Just little things but they are working.
I wish fat was attractive too, I would be HOT!! |

I have lost 78 lbs since Oct 22, my husband has lost 55 lbs. I still have a long way to go (not even half way to my goal yet which is 155 so you do the math lol). Part of the reason I got my rattie was I need an excuse to exercise. I hate it. I hate it. If Im taking pixel for a walk maybe it wont be so bad. Also when I can finally take her to the park that should be good times too! This wait for the shots is killing me! Anyway we have been doing South Beach Diet. We do have treats once in awhile but overall we follow it pretty closely. We started by cleaning all the 'illegal' foods from the house and donated them and started over. I'm hoping to hit the 100lb lost mark by my 1 year. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I eat 2-3 eggs every morning a large glass of 1% milk and 2 slices of oscar meyer turkey bacon. I dont get bored of it either |

I there, too. I get so darned bored at work that I snack. But I've cut out most sweets. I don't drink soda so can't cut that out. I do drink juice but I poor a glass of just 1/4 juice and then fill it with water...cuts down on calories and gets more water in me....it's hard for me to drink water.
For a sweet treat - I love that Activia yogurt. Plus having 6 dogs keeps me so busy and walking more. |

Alright, here's MY thing. I look at fluffy, plump, rubenesque, curvy, whatever you want to call them women and I think, "Wow she's beautiful." But the teeniest bit of pudge on me and I feel like I am so hideaous I shouldn't leave the house. WTH. Why is that?! I KNOW that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, skin deep, comes in all sizes, yada, yada. How come I can't apply that theory to myself? |

| I hear you! I gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant with my daughter (Two years ago!!!) LOL. I just can't seem to shed those last ten pounds no matter how much I try. I had good success on Atkins many years ago. But now that I have had a baby, it just isn't easy to lose anymore. Also, part of my problem is just discipline. I find it too hard to stick with a diet as strict as Atkins. I have been trying to exercise more. But I have not been nearly as dedicated as I need to be. |

Pam - Count me in with ya
My fat clothes were tight so I bought more fat clothes (read: yes another size bigger) and I just cannot continue... My doctor said I needed to lose 50 lbs. I have lost 23 but I really could use some online support too.
I have lost 23 since April 26 when I joined Wight Watchers.

I was at work yesterday and was lighting a cigerette for a resident and another resident looked at me and infront of everyone and out of nowhere said you know Gail you could stand to loose some weight you would feel better about yourself and then she turned and told another resident that she needed to loose ten pounds and one of my other patients looked up and said that's okay Gail I need to loose some weight too. I was mortified. But I just went on with what I was doing. I do want to loose a bit but to say that infront of a whole group of people is just rude. And for the fact that she is alert and oriented it was uncalled for. Two other aides were out there and their draws dropped when she said this to me. So I feel your pain but you know what I do try but I am not going to make myself miserable worrying about it. |

| I'm there too Pam. Here's what is working for me. One, I use the Wii fit to monitor my weight.....you could do that with a good scale. I try to check everyday, it really has kept me on track totally by seeing the smallest changes. I eat a bowl of good cereal or a whole whet english muffin for bkfst, fills me up for a while. Lunch is usually a wheat wrap with tons of veggies and a small amount of turkey or rice or other low cal option. I snack on bananas, apples, granola bars. The eddy's fruit bars are 1 weight watchers point and are sooooooo yummy. Been eating a lot of chicken and veggies for dinner. Basically cut back on the amount I eat. No pizza or fried foods. Maybe 1 time a month a fast food treat. I have lost 6 lbs in the last month. But I have added in a ton of strength training. I use the excercise on demand programs on my cable, but any will do. Lunges, crunches etc. And I HATED exercise with a passion. It was a chore but after about 3 weeks it kicked in and I feel horrible if I miss even a day. My cardio is me push mowing our hilly 1/2 acre, works wonders. And an FYI, for those diet soda drinkers. They have actually shown that it can cause you to eat more calories and gain weight easier. So it doesn't help much. Luckily I only do water or coffee so I am good there. |
