Lucy did so good last night. We worked on follow with "pointer finger", the bridge raise a little, ramps with stopping at the end and touching the target, jumping through the tire, double jumps, curved tunnel, and then putting the bridge, ramps, curved tunnel, tire jump, and pause table into a course. Lucy did really well, even though she would not go through the curved tunnel. But when all else fails, she just jumps on top the tunnel. It's her very own personal trick that she does when she gets a little confused or does not want to go through the tunnel. I am really surprised at how fantastic she is doing and how fast she is picking everything up. She's gotton follow down so well that the trainer had us change it up for her and make it more difficult (which we were the only ones in the class that got to do this). Plus she did great at touching the target at the end of the ramp. We have them go up and down and while they are half way down we tell them "target" and they stop at the end with back two feet up on ramp and touch the target with their nose, or in Lucy's case her front paws. She gets really excited at slaps the target then puts her nose on it. It's very fun to take part of this class. I know it is only the 3rd week but she has learned so much. I really would suggest this to anyone who has the extra time and wants to spend some great quality time with their pup.

It is an 8 week course and we are only in week #3. That just means that there is a lot more to be learned, but since we are making good progress I think she will be doing well.

We truly are having a great time. I am really happy that I have gotten the opportunity to do this with her. And she is loving all the treats

I think now that school is out for the summer (I prefer not to take summer classes, avoiding getting burnt out) I need to focus in more on getting her to lay down. I have the time now, so all I need is the technique.
