Well, my little girl graduated High School last night. If you look closely, I'm sure you can tell how emotional of a time it was for her. She has and likely will always be my little social butterfly. She was a part of student council, a member of the drama club, bass player for the rock band, part of the performing arts group, a member of musical productions. If it has to do with arts, music or acting, she's there. Our hopes for her, are for her to continue her education here at College of the Siskiyous and then on to Ashland Performing Arts and hopefully to become a member of the Shakespearean Actor's Guild.  Today is Johnny's first honors award ceremony, the final day of the school year and starting tomorrow, our whirlwind of birthdays all in a row. Doesn't it just figure then, that not one of our vehicles, but two broke down yesterday! Murphy's law... Oh boy, fun, fun, fun!
But anyway, I feel as if we've accomplished something big. That's 3 down and just 3 more to get through high school! I'm very proud of Tiffany. When she began high school she had a MAJOR attitude and in a short 4 years, has grown to become quite the young lady. Although she has struggled, she managed to graduate with a 3.8 grade average.  I am very proud of my little girl. By the way, did I mention that she also turned 18 on her graduation day?

Without further adieu, here she is, Tiffany Hope Case, A 2008 Graduate of Weed High School

I was wondering about 6!!!   I wish you and your family luck on reaching your goal of 6 HS graduates in the family.  In these times its a pretty rough goal.  And 4 wasn't enough?

AWESOME pictures!  I am proud too!  Good to see pics of SuperJohn.  He's not talked to us recently.....

How about your adopted son Ross?  We have not had an update.  Has the drama gone from his life, or has it reduced significantly?  I'd love to hear.

Thanks so much for caring. I'm sure you'll see more of SuperJohn this summer now that he has time to be on the computer. He's doing quite well. Just finished his last day of 7th grade.
Ross is doing fairly well. He passed all classes except math which means summer school which he is severely bummed about. Otherwise he's doing well. Living with us full time. The drama has subsided somewhat although both disfunctional parents still loom in the background with a new court date about every 3 months or so. It's a difficult process because we try to keep things positive and drama free and there is a complete upheval with each court date. He turns 17 next week, so only a year more of court dates to deal with. And yeah, 4 is plenty but still, there's just no good reason that I can find to turn my back on a child that is deserving of love and a good home life and because of this we have opened our home and hearts to a good many kids, two of which we took in and helped to get through difficult times in their lives.

Our son, Joshua is 16 and also doing really well. I have to say that he's become a young man that I thoroughly enjoy spending time with and am proud to call friend as well as son. and let's see... Angelica, our eldest daughter and her boyfriend Aaron, (the other boy we brought in several years ago) are both doing well. They rent a house across the street from us, both work full time, he as a mechanic and she as a clerk in a grocery, have 2 more car payemnts before their first car together is paid off. (HUGE accomplishment for 2 19 year old kids, I think!)

David and I are both doing well and Miss Shiloh is as spoiled and well loved as a little rattie could ever hope to be. So there ya go, all updated until tomorrow, at which time, I will be beginning our themed party summer-phase. More pics to come soon!

Thanks again all of you for caring. It means a great deal to me.

honestly... we get TONS of jokes about it. The town was named for Abner Weed, the owner of the lumber mill that supplied the work for the towns people and all of the old houses around here too. We also live right next door to the graveyard, so all the town kids think it's creepy and fun to spend the night here. The house is supposedly haunted. The kids and I have had several "visitations" since we've been here but they seem friendly. We live in a great big rambling old house that was built in 1891 on 29 acres, complete with bats and baby birds in the attic in the spring... in the early mornings if you walk on the stairs it wakes up the baby birdies up there and you can hear them cheeping! LOL

Oh Teresa.. odd request? I wanna see your Tiffany too
These are huge milestones in these young people's lives and it's so great to see the look of satisfaction on a young person's face as they reach these milestones. That family pic was taken at Aaron's graduation. We homeschooled him his final year and he did just great. Each is so unique. To me, that's my favorite part. I tease them all the time in telling them they are as different as snowflakes... :p
