LOL Naw! He's just nasty! My SIL and daughter came in from outside laughing like crazy! They had thrown the ball for Amos and it landed way back in the recently cleared very powdery dirty area of our back yard. Amos was so "exuberant" with his chasing of the ball, that he misstepped and tumbled. They said he went head over heels. From all the dirt on him, I'd say they were not exaggerating.
Yes, he will be getting a bath this afternoon when I get home from church. Ya'll pray for me, ok? I'm gonna needed it!

| I wiped him down with baby wipes as soon as he came inside. It didn't help much. I don't give him very many baths. He's kinda hard to give a bath inside so he's gonna get an outside bath! Then I'll have to take one too! |

| No pictures this time. It took 2 of us to get him bathed! I had a leash attached to his collar but he was cutting up so badly that I had to put the prong collar on him. He stood still then, but I wanted him to walk around in the sunshine and dry off some before we took "wet dog" back inside the house. He was having none of that. Sat on the steps and wined at me until I let him back in the house. So.....I guess he's not a water rattie! He's a "I wanna go back in the house in the aircondtioning and roll on the carpet" rattie! |

Know what I did to Bailey? The last two times we have had to take a bath because of "stuff" she has rolled on (and she sleeps with us!), I've put her in the shower with me and I scrub her first and pick her up to rinse her and then set her back down in the shower and scrub her again, and then pick her up to rinse. Her daddy waits patiently with the towel and I hand her off to him to towel dry...then I get the rest of my shower. Kills two birds with one stone! After she is towel dried, I get the blow dryer out and blow her the rest of the way dry. She's not real happy about the showers, but she is so good and stands perfectly still. When I pick her up to rinse her, she just freezes and doesn't move. So far...so good! You might try it. |

That sounds like a pretty good idea, except for the "picking up to rinse". Amos weighs 50lbs! I'd just have to let the shower run and rinse him off like that. lol Also, when he gets excited, he tends to jump up and put his big ole feet on me. Unprotected tender parts in the shower might be a problem. When he stands up his paws can touch almost to my shoulders......ouch....
