I was wondering how many avid readers we have here? I am an avid reader and devour 3-5 books a month, depending on the time of year......So I was wondering if any of you readers like me would like to start a book club, of sorts,...I just recently watched "The Jane Austin Book club" and it was a good movie......I do not have time to go to book club meetings but thought if any one is interested we might be able to start a thread here...kind of like Jeff the Gnome that Kim started......
The only genre that I will not read is horror because then I dream the book........but other than that I am pretty open to any thing...........
If there are enough people interested then we could decide what genre each month we would read and one person a month could assign the book and after a given amount of time we could talk talk talk about it.........Does it sound like a crazy fun idea or just crazy???

I am an avid reader too...I was so desperate for something to read last night, that I called Kevin while he was at Walgreen's and told him to pick me up anything out of the top 10, EXCEPT Nora Roberts....I've already read hers! LOL!!
I would love to be part of your book club. I also agree about the horror books...I can't read them either. I like most other books though. I have been known to read 2-3 books in a weekend. (I can't put them down once I start!!) |

Have you read Nora Roberts trilogies, Three sisters Island. Morrigans Cross, the Circle Trilogy and her new one Blood Brothers trilogy??

| No, I haven't red those....YET!! I just read The Hollow, it's the second in her "signs of seven" trilogy. I LOVE Nora Roberts!! I really NEED to go to Barnes and Nobles to check out one of those books. I didn't realize she even had the signs of seven trilogy, until I started reading "The Hollow" (so of course now I have to get the first one to see where it all started AND the third to see how it ends!!) LOL! |

I just finished the Hollow and my hubby read both as well.......The 3rd comes out in Dec.....The circle Trilogy is very much like The 7's but alot mor majic and darker....with vampires, witches, shape shifters...I love that series, i wish there were more. The Three Sisters Island has to do with Witches and Salem and modern times....First trilogy I read.......
Do you have a place called Half Price Books? Cuz if you do you can get the books for a song, instead of paying full price... |

We don't have a place like that here, but B & N usually has some pretty good deals. I THINK I may have read the three sisters...at least one of them, but I can't remember...I've read so MANY!! They all start to run together.
