I typed a long post a few minutes ago and then got an error.

Donna called me this morning.  They are in their 10th day at the hospital and don't have any idea when he will get to go home.  Yesterday, he had a whole bunch of tests, a bone scan and a colonoscopy being the two I can remember.  They also discovered some sores on the back of his thighs, like bedsores.  They will put him under and debride them tomorrow.  He is only getting liquid nutrition and it is making him sick to his stomach.    They are also going to give him some red blood cells, but his body isn't processing them right because they are causing red spots on his skin called, pic-something or other.  You medical people help me out here.

Donna is making arrangements to have Remi shipped to them.  This is the only bright spot for Josh.  I think Remi is supposed to be his puppy.

Please, please keep Josh and Donna in your prayers.  I could hardly keep from crying while talking to her this morning, and I'm trying not to cry as I type this.

Hopefully this will go through this time.

OH, Donna!! Please let her know that she and Josh are absolutely in my prayers. As a mother, I can't begin to imagine the pain and the fear that she is in right now. I think I need to go hug my baby right now....if I can catch him long enough to actually hug him.

 Poor Josh and Donna

She probably can't check a computer either to see how much we are thinking about them.

It would be nice if Remi could visit him in the hospital but I doubt that that is allowed.

Keep us posted !

Me either. It just brought back bad memories of my youngest son being in Children's Hospital after he was born. His left kidney was twice the size of his right one and they didn't know why. Plus, my youngest is 17 and Josh is 15.

I just saw something on tv the other day that said that MANY doctors do what they can medically do, and then leave everything else up to prayers.  I believe in the power of prayer, and will continue praying for Donna and Josh.  poor kid----I hate that he has to go through all this.

That would probaly boost his spirits a bit if he could see Remi but I hope that he isn't in the hospital too much longer.

Pam,

Please let Donna know that we all have her and Josh in our thoughts and prayers. I agree Paul, prayer is a powerful thing.

I just wish I could hop a plane go get Remi and hand deliver him. I know he will be fine getting to Donna and Josh and I think it is great if the hospital would allow Remi to visit, that would be a great boost to Josh and family!

Thanks Pam for the updates.

Cheryl

Most children's hospitals now allow visiting pets, it helps kids get better! My prayers are still going up for Josh and Donna. I hope they find something definate soon, even if it is something he does not have. It is so hard not knowing why something is happening.

Pam, Please tell Donna when you next talk to her, that we are all praying for her and Josh,  Next time you talk to her try to find out the address of the hospital etc. So we can start showering Josh with cards.  I know when I was a kid I was hospitalized for a long time and the cards that came really made me feel better, I didn't feel so disconnected from the rest of the world when a card came in the mail. Is he in in intensive care?  They usually have strict rules about stuffed animals etc.   I will be lurking around for info about Josh and Donna.  She must be so tired.  A hospital is not usually a place to get a good rest if you are not the patient, and not too great if you are the patient.  I will put them on our Church prayer list.   Also Pam, thanks for the information!  You are so sweet to keep us all informed.  Tell Bob that Darmok sends him a big kiss.

Thanks Pam, just saw this this morning. That would be a great idea to post an address of the Hospital. We could send some cards.
I agree with Sarah, this is scarey stuff. Hope they can get some answers for Josh soon....

I have no idea what she or Josh is going through, but they will both be in my thoughts. Hopefully she can get Remi in there, I'm sure that will cheer him uo.
I must have missed the posts about what is wrong with Josh, I just know that he is very sick.

I don't think Josh is in intensive care. Donna said something one time about being right down the hall from the nursery. I always tell Donna that everyone is praying for them. She is very grateful for that. I'll try to get the address and room number from her and post it here.
