A Nebraska senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out
of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph,
enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

'Amazing,' he thought as he flew down I-80, pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw the state trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.

He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, 'What am I doing? I'm too old for this,' and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, 'Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday . If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go.'

The old gentleman paused then said, 'Three years ago, my wife ran off with a Nebraska State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.'

'Have a good day, Sir,' replied the trooper.

HA!  Speaking of speeding tickets, I got pulled over last week and got cited for doing 74 in a 55!  Waiting to hear when my trial date is.....I'm hoping they'll plea it down before it goes to trial.... guess I should call and ask, huh?

I got one too last Sunday doing 90 in a 65, yikes. Don't know how much it gonna cost me. They put my trial date and told me they might send a courtesy notice. Anybody knows if I can go to traffic school so i don't get points if I over limit for 25 miles? They put the date but no time what should I do? Just show up at the court on the day I am supposed to?

It all depends on what state. They are all different. Yep just show up to court on the date and time. You can ask them now then.
