Don't know how long it will take to recover from the colitis.  But doc also put me on a no salt (2 gram).  You know how hard that is! All the foods that I liked I can't have.  Anyone have any recipes for some healthy tasty food? It has to also be colitis friendly so definately low in fiber and nothing spicy.

Bump really need some help on the diet.  Low salt and colitis friendly.  I'm going to the doctor today so I guess I'll ask him.

I hope the doctors office can give you some reference material for a diet plan.
It's hard to think of a low salt, low fiber diet and make sure it's right for you and the colitis.

Doesn't sound to tasty either! Have you tried doing a search for it? You can make anything lowsalt basically, so you could try doing a search for colitis friendly foods and then decreaseing the salt content if neccessary. Your doctor's should be able to help though if you can't find anything.

Just a quick search I came up with this site that has a couple recipes  http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/535463/recipes_for_living_with_ulcerative.html

I also got a bunch of hits for cookbooks for Colitis and IBD.

Thanks! I'll check it out. He said the medicine will help keep it from comming back. He thinks the anxiety was the main contributor to it. He has me on Xanax twice a day.

Well the doc said he wanted me on the low sodium diet because it's alot healthier and would help me loose weight. He knows I want to loose weight and wants to try naturally ways then using meds.
