Hello ladies,

Regarding Jack - I say let's hold off trying to pull him for now.  I know he's not in the most perfect situation, but it's obvious he's not in danger of being PTS.  I find it ridiculous to have to fight with a shelter to pull a dog to take into rescue... and with so many other SOS dogs who will die if we don't take them and shelters who would love for us to take these dogs into rescue, we really should make them a priority.

Does everybody agree?

Agree,

Just out of curiousity, did you try to call there? Did you get the same response?

I am glad he is not in danger but it really frosts my cookies when shelters give push back to rescue. If this wasnt' a family site I would tell you what I really think.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

I really haven't had the chance to call ... it's been crazy here at work and I forgot I had a docs appointment today and have to leave at 2:30 ... and I'm trying to cram in everything before I leave...

Let's try this again in a few weeks if Gwacie is still available - catch the shelter off guard... and see what happens...

Sounds good to me. I pray he is not there is a few weeks. I hope someone who meets their "standards" gets him out of there. I am still fuming over this.

I agree. Knowing he is not in danger, though not ideal for any dog to be locked up, means it leaves me free to watch for one who will be euthanized or sold to rescue. But we'll keep an eye on him for sure in case they change their minds.
