Amos was sedated yesterday late in the afternoon.  I brought him home around 6pm and he was VERY wobble-legged till around 9pm.  Today, he has seemed fine, except he is really sleeping alot.  We went outside this morning and he ran for his ball and he did his jumps and went through his tunnel.(probably outside a total of 15 min)  We went to the lake for a brief walk just after lunch.(another 15 min activity)  He seems perfectly fine when we are doing something but if I don't have him engaged in an activity, he goes in his crate and sleeps.

He seems depressed.  I have not given him anything for pain, but I'm wondering if I should to see if it perks him up, Or will it make him sleepier?

Just worried about my big 'ol boy.

Aw, I guess if it were one of mine I would just let them sleep when they wanted and not give them pain meds unless they seemed to need it. Can you call the vet and ask? I don't too much about anesthesia except that mine did sleep more than normal the day after surgery, too.

I'm gonna just watch him the weekend. If he's not perkier by Tuesday(Memorial Day Monday), I'll call the vet and see if there's something else I need to be doing. Even Ricky commented that Amos was alot quieter than usual.

The day after sedation they are often sleepy. If he's not back to himself tomorrow I'd be surprised.
