My baby girl Sandy is having a dental done today. I have put it off for so long cuz it costs about $300, but with the of the cost of Sasha's vet bills, I really couldn't afford to do it before and I figured she would be OK, but she needed one so badly....
I just got off the phone with my vet, and they've already had to pull 10 teeth and they're only half done!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so terrible!!!!!! My baby girl ... she's only about 8 or 9..... Dr. Bart says she'll be fine and will actually feel better getting these teeth out of her mouth and she'll be able to chew and stuff, but dang... 10 teeth and they're only 1/2 done!!
I am going to start being diligent and brushing teeth every other night, or at least once a week. I don't want ANY of my other babies having to go through this EVER again!!
I hope ya all learn a lesson from Sandy's misfortune and my ignorance..... dental care for dogs is just as important as people!!!!!!!!
