biting..It came out of nowhere and now shes just biting me all the time...my hands and face. When I try to pet or play shes just interested in chewing at me. Kisses come with teeth now? Anyone had this happen? What should I do to discourage it?

Well, a mama dog bites her pups back when they bite too hard. Since I don't figure you are up for giving Tink a nip on the ear, I'd suggest you firmly take her little muzzle, restrain her and say a sharp, deep NO BITE while looking her in the eyes, then withdraw your attention. I say take her muzzle so you can stop her from biting and get her attention. Do it every time she starts biting (withdrawing your attenion, even turning or walking away). Then in a few minutes ask her to sit and give her a reward for being a good girl (pet, love, treat whatever you use).

Whenever Sam bites hard while we're playing, I always say "OW!!" or I "yelp" (some loud noise to get his attention) really loud and just stop playing with him. My mom uses the same "muzzle-snatching" technique that Gwacie suggested, and both seem to work well.

There are several different methods to correct this behavior....
A few have been mentioned here already... another thing you might try is a squirt bottle. Squirt her with water when she goes into biting mode, and give her a firm, loud "NO BITE" command. She will get the point after a few times.
Is she still a puppy?

also make sure you have lots of chewy toys or bully sticks on hand...when she bites...use a correction of your choice ( squirt bottle, "bite" back, firm"NO BITE", etc...)...then give her something else that she CAN bite!

You've gotten some great advice in earlier posts, but I'll tell you these little poochies are very sensitive and want to please....soooo, what works for me is to cry out and oh, OUCH and I pretend to cry.....Ms Daisy will immediately come to me to see what is wrong and why I am "crying".....works like a charm..... If this doesn't work or you aren't into "pretending" then try the other suggestions..... Good luck! The good news is since she is little she will grow out of this phase.....there is hope!

Haven't had to deal wih this in forever. Savanna doesn't 'bite' She just wants to attack my slippers, I just say 'NO' she gets it, but she still tries every day! Ya think she'd be over it by now!
