What an exhilarating walk! 2 dogs left side, not pulling (was holding each leash with 2 fingers on the same hand, no tension), walked briskly for 50 minutes this way with one short potty break on a new walk route. I've had her less than 2 weeks and she is getting it! She did not really even know sit and I doubt she ever had a structured walk. She sat at 3 intersections without popping up for the full time it took the light to change. I am so proud of her!

We did not encounter any other dogs tonight (our biggest obstacle is little gladiator terrier when other dogs are coming toward us), but we will overcome that.

It was a thing of beauty to see them tracking next to each other, totally focused!

Thanks for letting me brag. I will be humming dancing (walking) queen when I go out the door. Maybe she is the walking queen.

Paisley growled at a Great Dane on our first walk!
It is one rattie and one lab that I have and I am interested in agility with Paisley (rattie) and flyball for the lab. I did agility with my aussie - when I said tracking I meant they were clipping along and totally focused forward.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... ok.  I thought you meant they were actually "tracking".

Awesome job on the leash training! Yaz has her days. On our walk today she did awsome. Slack leash, head up, no sniffing the ground. Yesterday she was pulling and so out of focus.

I love a happy ending, and evening walks this time of year are just fun!  I'm not so into Abba, though... I think that is who does Dancing Queen.  I think I'll be singing "Walk this Way" by Aerosmith.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

I just love all these theme songs for your walks! I also happen to love all those songs. I have a very diversified musical taste. Funny......I don't hear any music in my head when I walk Yaz. Wonder why.
