Okay so...here's the thing.  I am going to be flying to Detroit, but the idea of being without Princess for a whole week is terrible for me, especially when it's to go camping.  She loves the outdoors!  So if I don't fly her with me, that means my parents will take care of her on a trip via RV which will be 2 weeks, one of which is without me.  Princess hates being without me.  I get calls if I don't get home right away saying she's up patrolling the living room looking for me (I work the night shift lol, so that's a big deal at 1am).  I'm not sure, though, if she can be a carry-on.  I mean, she does just fine in her crate.  She's a natural for crating.  It's her den.  She loves it, but I don't want her locked up in it you know? She's about 13-14" tall at the shoulder, a miniature.  She's 12 lbs.  I was just wondering if it'd be possible to carry her on.  I don't even know how big the dog can be to carry on.  I carry her everywhere anyway but I can get a carrier for her.  Not a big deal.  What do you guys think?  Any idea? I've read it's about $80

im sorry i am not sure, but i will be checking seeing as ive always wondered that. when someone else does let you know, i hope it is a yes. if not and the flight isnt too long, personally, i would allow her to fly not as a carry on and just give her some treats and toy to keep her occupied. unless it financially doesnt work. a couple hours couped up is worth it to be with her for that week. JMO, but good luck and i hope it works out.

I definitely agree!  I will be putting her on as a check-in if I have to, but she's so hypersensitive, I'd really just prefer to carry her on.  She's so small already, but not quite a chihuahua or toy size, you know? just above a toy.  I did read though, after posting, that the carrier has to be at most 9" high or some sort like that.  We'll see.  I'll have to see what happens, I suppose.  It's so worth it either way!
