I need some advice for dental health.  Maggie has a plaque issue.  I think she'll have to go under to have this taken care of.  Has anyone ever had this done?  Please let me know if you have and all that it involves.

Thanks so much,

Betsy

I haven't needed to have it done, but there are other members here who have taken their dogs in for dental cleaning. Hopefully, they will see this and answer you.

Betsy,

My Franky had to have his teeth cleaned and some removed this year. He has really bad teeth and we are supposed to brush them every other day (we do as much as we can) and put a protective gel on to keep the tartar down. We use a spray and gauze to wipe his teeth. This way it will keep it down at least and then just keep an eye on it to see if he needs another cleaning.

They put them under and clean off the tartar. They come out with beautiful teeth and breath! Some dogs are more prone to these issues.
