I picked her up on Saturday evening after work at Terry's.  BTW, Terry is a Wealth of Information, guys.  LOL.  When we got to the front door, Nena was one of the first to greet Mimzy and I.  Mimzy and Nena touched noses and I could just imagine Mimzy saying, "nice to meet you, Nena" .  We were well entertained by all the ratties and watched as Nena hopped up on the sofa and went to sleep.  Terry and her husband showed me how to chip her and after getting her paperwork and essentials together, Terry carried her out to the car for us and Nena slept on the way home.  Then the fun started.     LOL..there is a mutual understanding between Nena and Anna The Kitty.  They do not care for each other in a very strong way!    She has to be watched closely as she like to mark her territory.  She goes behind Mimzy peeing and either hikes her leg or does the walk/squat/pee thing which is quite interesting to watch.  I ended up putting a afghan over her cage during the night, so I wouldn't hear any complaints of  "Mom, she's looking at me!" from either of them.

Sunday, we took two cars (Plan B:  if things don't work out, we can leave early) and went to my daughter's home for steaks.  My daughter has 3 cats.  Fortunately, my son-in-law took them upstairs to the "Penthouse" while we were there.  My grandaughter, 8 years,  immediately took of the supervision of Nena.  Walking her thru the house, outside and rubbing her tummy whilst she was on the computer.  We did have one pee accident in the house, but I think she was just nervous.  I caught her a couple of times squatting and would tell her Nena, no, outside and she would head for the door.

She took a liking to my daughter and son-in-law.  Oh and she loves little babies (grandaughter Baeleigh, 5 months).  She did lots of sniffing of the little human and licking of her bare feet.   When my husband and son-in-law went out for an errand and then returned, she was up on back of the sofa, tail wagging, eagerly waiting to greet them.

She is a peculiar looking dog....kinda like a JRT/RT on steroids.  Her front and hind legs are VERY muscular with the rest of her being VERY skinny.  We are working on that part.  She needs to add some weight.

Let me see, what else...she is recovering from a tick infestation (I was filled in on that) and is on antibotics.  We will be making an appointment soon at the doggy "spa" for a relaxing shampoo and massage.  This will be on me as I know Ratbones doesn't reimburse for this expense.  I just feel like she needs some special treatment.

I have already gotten LOTS of good advice from several people, Terry in particular (thanks!)

I will post pictures soon and we are planning on going to the Petapalooza in Suwanee on the 17th.

Woo hoo!  Obviously she likes children so that's a big plus with getting her adopted.  Lucky her getting the "spa treatment", too.

Isn't it great having "foster kids"?
