Brutus has had incredibly soft tan/white fur since birth, it literally feels like bunny fur. He will be 5 months old next week. When was about 4 months old he started to get a black fur ring about ½ way down his tail. Now in the last week or so he is getting a lot of really course black fur mixing in with the tan fur. This may be a really dumb question, but does this mean his fur is going to eventually be this course and is it possible he will loose some tan and get more black in him? Not that any of this matters to me, I just didn't expect the weird texture change. And another question.. do your ratties have soft or course fur?
