Here are the pics I got yesterday in Lions Park.   The first shot is Zipper doing her usual, sitting knock-kneed and looking sad for the camera.  It was 59 º when we went out there at 9:00, so the courduroy quilt felt real good to her.  I was about to put it up over my lap to stay warm myself when we first got out there!

This is Bunny (from Wharton, TX).  Boogie wouldn't stand up for me.

These are Penny's two babies:  Boogie on the left and Bunny on the right.  I was soooo taken with Bunny's facial markings.  The subtle and gradual transition from her chocolate.......to tan......to yellow......to white on her muzzle was almost like an artist who works in pastels and rubs the edges so the transtion from color to color is subtle/muted.  Quite striking.  And then the white thumb print between the eyes makes her almost look like a huskie!  Beautiful dog!  Penny plans of showing and breeding her one day.

Travis and Bob just chillin'

Chowtime!

Here's PamWh and Penny, Penny's husband Steve in the cap and their daughter Tylie.  That's And of course, that's Lance on the right.

This is Kara from Killeen.  She's a member of Ratlover.com forums.  Her husband is in the ARmy and got back from Iraq safe and sound.  Very nice lady.  Nacho sure added to our event and Corona was so friendly!!!!  And is that dog ever SOFT!

This is teeney, weeney, 6 lb. Nacho and Corona, Kara's (Killeen lady) pups.  That little Nacho stood up to all the bigger guys, I can tell ya.  Reminded me of "TAZ" the rescue at the Jamboree, if ya know what I mean.

Here's a good one of Pam and son Travis.  Bob wasn't cooperating for this shot.

Profile shot of Boogie and Miss Bunnie jumped into the frame, too.

Here's handsome Mr. BOB!!!  Ya think Button got his nose bent outta shape, Pam?  Looks like I caught that Kodak moment with his nose a-workin'

Button & Corona wanting some attention from Kara (Button was interested in Nacho she was holding      )

Lance holding Button (looked down right when I snapped, THREE times!).  That's Penny's daughter Tylie (6 y.o.)

Oooh Peggy! Looks like ya'll had a good time. Don't guess anyone suffered from Heat sickness at your meet up though, huh? I'm smitten with that little Bunny! She is a cute little thing. Not to mention little Nacho. He reminds me of Paul's Bo. Do you think I'd stand a chance at sneakin' him out of Texas in my pocket?
Can't wait to see more photos!

He was so small she picked him up and carried him with just one hand. Wouldn't quite fit in your pocket, but you could sure hide him under a jacket and not even look preggers! LOL

What a neat afternoon we had! It was so nice to meet everyone in Temple... Although next time I do it I will be checking the weather a bit closer.LOL we wuz cold in our shorts and t-shirts! I did take some pictures but there is 20 or so and I have them in an album on Shutterfly.com... you can cut and paste this link to navigate to the album online. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0EcOXDVoxcsXSA&emid=sharview&linkid=link4

Thanks for all the sweet comments about our doggies... I was very taken with all the pups there... such a variety of looks and personalities!! I know Tylea was playing shy but she LOVED seeing other RT's and talked about nothing else the whole trip up there. my only regret is not getting there sooner so that we could spend more time with Kara, Nacho and Corona.. they had to go shortly after we arrived. Maybe next time...

Ya'll be sure to go to Penny's album!  She really got some GREAT pics!!!!!   Here's a clickable link to it.

I'm sure hoping if we ever do one in Temple again we get enough people to get the nicer pavilion in the center of the park.  The picnic table area of the park where we were doesn't really do it justice.    But those are for large groups only.  The center area of the park that is wide open lush, grassy fields dotted with sprawling old oak trees is REALLY gorgeous!

Sorry, haven't had time to add my pictures!  I might not get to them until tomorrow.

All I can say about these pictures is ... ack!  I sure have a lot of chins!

The meet up was fun.  Peggy and Lance did a wonderful job of setting it up and feeding us.  I loved meeting everyone and their dogs.  Itty bitty Nacho intimidated Bob.  Too bad we didn't get a picture of Bob trying to climb the tree backwards to get out of the penned area.

Travis loved holding Button and Zipper.  Button gave him a kiss attack, and he loved her permanent smile.

Yeah, Button's my bigtime kisser!  Travis must be really special, 'cause he even got  a kiss from ZIPPER!!!  And she is real stingy with her kisses!!!  I'm lucky if I get 2-3 a week from that one!

Girl I've had three chins for YEARS!!!!!  Working on reducing it to two with the help of South Beach.

Buttons is cute as well.. is that from the pic of her and bunny?  I think Button was saying "That's right, sister.. I am queen here!"

Yes, Bunny was in this shot I cropped.  Hope you don't mind me using it for my avatar.  It's so darn hard to get good head shots of Button's coal black eyes on that face of black.  I'm such a photography dufus.  You can actually see her face there.  You really got some good ones.

Ok Bob and Zipper together in a picture, that's it I am moving to Texas. Alice and Fred want to hang out soooooo bad. It  looks like a blast, Bob and Zipper want to meet half way??LOL Like maybe in Arkansas/Kentucy border??

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too
