We had a nice time today. I didn't get much real work done, but my staff enjoyed their lunch. The cake went REALLY fast.
I have been a nurse forever it seems like. I worked as a CNA from 18-21 when I got my LPN license. As an LPN I worked in a hospital either in med/surg or maternal infant services until I got my RN license in 1993. I continued on in maternal infant services until 2000 when I worked for a brief time with Hospice services, then into long term care. I've been in medical services for 26 years. Up until the last several months, I have been very happy as a nurse. Some of the things that are happening in the medical field these days are kinda giving me a bad taste in my mouth. I'm hoping this is just temporary because I don't know how to do anything else.
Again, I salute all my fellow caregivers and send out a big THANK YOU! for all that you do! |
