as TOO long of a walk or TOO much exercise for my babies?  Trixi is in GREAT shape and is about  a year and a half.  Toa is 6 months.

I take them for LONG walks when its not rainy and try to take different routes so they dont get bored...

I'm not sure about Toa, but for Trixie a long walk should be fine. I would guage it on the dog. It sounds like you have built their endurance so far. I take mine when I can squeeze in the time for a walk jog for about 30 minutes or so. A couple miles a day for an adult dog should be okay.

i usually try to take them for at least 45 minutes, up to an hour and 15. My avatar is a picture of Toa during a short "photo opp" in the middle of a walk. His tongue hangs out a bit, like in the pic...but he seems so happy!!

When Noodles n me go for walks and she gets tired she justs lays down, and when I walk back to her she gives me the "pick up" command and I carry her or put her in her baby sling, if I have it, till she wants down. If it's not too hot it seems to me that just walking would not have a limit on it.

Mitzy, too.  I think because she has a black head she gets hotter than the other dogs quicker and when she gets too tired she'll lay down and rest for a minute.  If she does it too often then I carry her for a while.  But she's also teeny and has the shortest legs so that' probably adds to it.
