Good evening,

I am officially a dog lady today.   I now have 7 Rat Terriers in my home.  I have 3 foster ratties when I normally only do 2 at a time, but a little 8 month old Teddy female needed rescue and I couldn't resist since she looked so much like my personal dog named Molly.

I thought I would show you all my foster ratties in one spot this time.

Thunder (previously posted here) - www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/thunder

Mr. Jack Good Boy (transferred to me today from another foster mom) - www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/mrjackgoodboy

Janta (pulled from doggie jail today) - www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/janta

I know you will enjoy all of their pictures and keep watching because as they progress I will update their albums.

Wow!  You all are too sweet!  I didn't know I was a Teddy lover either until Bossk and now Janta.  She will go quickly.  She is spunky and smart.  Quick as well!  Everyone is getting along great so lets hope they stay that way.

Yeah Jack will be working to loose a few pounds.  He is 14lbs and will be working to loose 4 to 5 of them.  He is a sweetie.

Janta is a hoot!  She is a none stop go getter!

Porthos sounds like it would be a good name for Jack. It does sound like a "chubby" name.

Paula,
Don't remember if it was this thread on this site or another site, but you mentioned that Janta was a non stop player, go after energy gal. Would you like her to come visit us for few weeks or more so she and Aka can try and wear each other out and give TAffy a little rest from Aka?? lol

She is adorable.

Cheryl,

You read right!  She is a real go getting and the boss lady.  She has become very vocal the last 2 days so I am trying to remind her to chill a little.  I was reading over her paperwork and it said she was 9 months not 8 and 10.5lbs.  Just wanted to set the record straight LOL.

She is feisty to say the least!  Our first rattie was like this so we got him a friend and he now he finally gets worn out with all his siblings (3 others) and the foster dogs.  He is now 2 so that might be part of it as well.  He fights going to sleep like she does.  Head bobble.

I currently have 9 at the house because my in-laws and hubby had to go to WI for a funeral.  Whew!  Its crazy!  LOL

What a great looking bunch! Bless you for rescuing them all. Good luck with Mr.Jack's diet! Maybe you could transfer some of Janta's energy over to him ;-) Teddies tend to do that to others. I know that Buddy keeps Dixie active with his energy..

UPDATE:   Janta and Mr. Jack Goodboy went to the Rat Terrier Jamboree

Mr. Jack Goodboy was a good boy and didn't cause trouble.  He competed in the Rat Races and gave it his all, met new dog and human friends and was beat when we got home.  I only have one picture of him so far on his imageevent site from the event.  www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/mrjackgoodboy

Janta was a rock star!  She won 2nd place in the Rat Run, bossed the other dogs around, stayed close by to her foster mom and played well with the little humans (she had a crush on one of them).  She got lots of pictures at the event.  www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/janta

Sadly Thunder didn't get to go.  He stayed home with his foster dad and was a good boy.  I bet he got some extra TLC.  www.imageevent.com/rattiemom/thunder

All 3 are still looking for their forever families.  If you know a good person or family for them feel free to share their imageevent album and my contact info.

Paula,
I believe that Mr. Jack Goodboy was one of Good Golly Miss Molly's Litter's possible daddys. Do you know if this is true? Theyre cuties. I wish I had more room right now! Jack doesnt necessarily look too much like Toa, but hard to tell.

Mary,

You would be right.  Who knows who the daddy was.  I think Jack looks a little Chi and I don't see that in any of the puppies.  There was also Buster who could have been daddy.  For all we know they have multiple dads.  Shhhh don't tell Toa.

He lives up to his goodboy name most of the time.  He gets so excited and will jump in place.
